who we serve

Our Neighbors in Clarkston, Georgia

All Nations Society of Atlanta (ANSA) is committed to meeting the spiritual and physical needs of immigrants and refugees in Atlanta and beyond, by helping them access resources and services and supporting individuals and the congregations that are opening their arms to them.

Many different ethnic groups live together in racially diverse metropolitan neighborhoods around the Atlanta region, many of which are socioeconomically and religiously fragmented. The majority of the inhabitants do not have the opportunity to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Our current targeted area is Clarkston, named by Time Magazine as “the most diverse square mile in America.” Within a 1.1 square mile area in these neighborhoods of about 12,500 people, 60 languages are spoken, many in daily use, as 31.8% of the population is first generation (i.e. foreign born).

how we serve

Worship for All Nations...Equipping the Little Ones

We rejoice to gather with 30 youth from refugee families each Sunday, beginning at 2:00 PM, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, for a time of worship, to hear God's Word, and to enjoy a meal together. The youth hail from nations across the world. Through this time of fellowship, our youthful brothers and sisters are becoming rooted in Christ and have developed a sense of community with each other. As 5-year old Jennifer shared with us, "I come here to learn about Jesus!" As the Lord uses us to raise up these young disciples in Christ through the Word of God, we encourage them to speak life-giving words to others.

Reaching Our Neighbors for Christ

On every second and third Saturday of the month, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, we lead a team of volunteers to visit with our new neighbors at the Clarkston Community Health Center, a free medical clinic.  On the second Saturday, we deliver food, clothing, and many other needed daily living supplies to our neighbors who gather at the medical clinic. The third Saturday is grocery delivery day when we bring a fresh bag of groceries (healthy food) to those we met the previous week. These are great opportunities to talk, get to know our neighbors, and share the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Click here for directions to the clinic.

Fresh Produce

Healthy eating is critical but the cost can often be prohibitive and many new Americans get caught in the trap of relying on unhealthy fast food because it is often less expensive. Each month we supply fresh and organic produce as one of our ways to welcome the new Americans in Clarkston and help them access healthy food.
